An idea that hid in plain sight…

One of the cleverest ideas during the Fifa World Cup has to be Spanish LGBTQ group FELGTB’s “Hidden Flag” protest. The Pride flag is illegal in Russia, so activists made a “human flag” using different football strips, and ‘flew’ it across Moscow.

An(other)idea about hiding…

Nick Grimshaw and Greg James swapping Radio 1 shifts could have been no more than a small story in the entertainment pages. But after they teased listeners with a live 23-hour game of hide and seek, everyone was talking about it.

See the moment Greg gave away their position…

Every month we run the rule over the best ideas from around the world - ideas that we think represent our real ideas™ ethos

A really boring idea…

The UK has Ronseal, Sweden has ‘Sioo:x Wood Protection’. With “it does what it says on the tin” taken, Sioo:x’s “most boring billboard” is some planks painted with its products – which will now stay in situ for 12 years.

See the billboard in all its boring glory…

An idea about staff rewards…

Walter Carr’s car broke down the day before he was due to start a new job. Unperturbed, he walked 20 miles to work. His (flabbergasted) new boss promptly handed Walter his own car. Footage of the handover quickly went viral.

Watch Walter’s look of disbelief when he gets handed the keys to a new car…
